LeBron's Legacy, NFL Injuries, & The College Football Playoff Picture
This weekend, LeBron James became the first player in NBA history to win a title with three different franchises. And while the King's unique feat has rekindled Jordan vs. James debates, winning four rings on three teams may adversely effect the LeBron James brand. Because while LeBron's on-court accolades may rival those of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, pundits will always question whether LeBron took the easy path in leaving one team for a better positioned one. But perhaps that's less reflective of LeBron James and more reflective of an ever-changing NBA - one in which 29-year-old Kawhi Leonard left a championship team a year ago to pursue even better odds of a third title. In this podcast, Professor Mike Lewis and I discuss how LeBron's team-hopping approach impacts his legacy and ultimately reveals the power star players hold in today's NBA. Then, we discuss the NFL's injury problem this season, how the college football playoff picture is taking shape, and why the MLB could benefit from the Astros cheating scandal.
